Every year you have the opportunity to review your current plans during the Annual Election Period, commonly know as AEP. During this time, you should contact your agent to go over your current prescription drug coverage (PDP) to make sure that you are getting the best coverage at the lowest rate.
During AEP, beginning October 15 and running through December 7, you have the opportunity to make any of the following changes:
- Switch from original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan
- Join a new Medicare Advantage Plan or PDP
- Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan to original Medicare, with or without a PDP.
