Preparing for the Medicare Annual Election Period

Critical facts you must know as you prepare for the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP).

In 2022, legislation has passed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).  This law may affect your Medicare Advantage or Part D plans in 2025.

Over the last two years, insurance carriers have experienced “high utilization” through claims filed.  Many of these claims were related to the COVID outbreak.  Now that COVID has subsided, many wellness visits are now being completed.

It is possible that during this coming AEP, Medicare Advantage plans MAY raise premiums and/or cut back on some of the “extra” benefits they have offered in the past.

Medicare Part D plans may also see changes in their premiums and some of the high tier medications costs.

Bottom line is PLEASE use a licensed and certified agent this year.

If you are not working with a licensed agent, contact Lori Good at Beck Insurance Agency to have your current plans reviewed for 2025. There may be more changes than not for 2025, so it is in your best interest to be proactive this year and schedule a plan review.

When using a licensed agent, the products DO NOT COST MORE.

In fact, utilizing the services of a professional advisor can only save you money, time, reduce or eliminate mistakes, and save you a ton of potential pain.

AEP runs from October 15th through December 7th each year.
