What you should know about Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)
One of the most important rules you need to remember about Medicare is you can only change plans during certain times of the year. During AEP (October 15- December 7), you can review your current coverage and proposed changes in coverages for the coming year. (You should have received your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) for your current plan). You can decide if the plan you have is still the best plan for you or maybe look at another plan that will better suit your needs.
Some things to keep in mind as you evaluate your current plan are, the medications you are currently on. Have they changed since last AEP? Has your pharmacy had a change? Is your pharmacy still in network with your current plan? Those are a few details that could affect your costs and changing to a new Part D plan might be in your best interest.
Please look over your ANOC and call Lori Good at Beck Insurance Agency to set up an appointment today. Make sure you are ready to for the new year with the plan that suits you the best.
